Nothing exciting

nothing exciting to tell today, a quiet Sunday peaceful as a Sunday should be. I think I enjoyed it most as its the first day this year (month) I have felt back to normal. only a bit of couching and a scratchy voice but feel good.

Made some friendship books to send out, and finally put my new scanner to use.

Since the week before Christmas I have been reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with my grandson. I read out loud to him when he was laying there really sick and nothing to watch on TV. Then around New Years when I got laid down with the bronchitis too, he started reading it to me. Now we take turns, reading a chapter each when he is here. But now I am a dilemma. we are nearing the chapters where Dumbledore will be killed. when I read it myself I had heard rumors something awful was at the end, even so I cried. I am thinking I should warn him, oh but how. and how much? come right out and tell him first, or just warn him that something awful was about to happen? BTW he is ten. I almost didnt expect him to get so involved in reading such a large book. he has been great in sounding out all the large words JKR uses. only two have I had to tell him the meaning of. I think he is realizing all the extra wonderful details that get left out of the movies. I love it when a kid finally sees the magic that is in reading books.

Frankly I am out of good ones to read myself. I just read Stephen Kings " CELL". wow that s the best he's written in 25 yrs. I loved it. got any suggestions on a good book, anyone?

My husband is taken with the author Steve Berry (The Templar Legacy and The Alexandria Link). He has 2 or 3 more too. We bought them all. I haven't read them yet but the hub thinks they are fantastic.
